Book 3: Sozin's Comet: Into The Inferno

The sky certainly is pretty before multiple throwdowns.
I had to split the two episodes because this one has over 30 images in the post.

Zuko worries about Aang - “What if he doesn’t have the guts? What if he loses?”

But Katara has never lost faith in him.

This episode's a long Sanity Slippage bit for Azula, and on the day of her coronation, and ends up banishing

* Her remaining Dai Li members.
* Her servants
* And Lo and Li

Same.
Oh, and look who shows up.

 Ursa, who says “All your life you’ve used fear to control people.”

“Trust is for fools, fear is the only reliable way! Even you fear me.”

“No, Azula, I love you.”

You Were Never Really Here (2018)

And right before her (very empty) coronation, someone arrives.

A red tyrant has an empty inauguration - I mean coronation. Sound familiar?

"You're not going to become Fire Lord today."

"I am."

The show does this thing where they jump between parts and it’s always been super annoying to me so, let’s break it down:

PART 1:
Stop the Airships and Take Back Ba Sing Se!

Toph dons a metal suit and takes out some Fire Nation soldiers, while Suki takes control of the ship.

The White Lotus begins to throw down, and Iroh literally hurls a GIANT FIREBALL toward the walls of Ba Sing Se.

Jeong Jeong is now…doing that.

The soldiers are now burning the Earth Kingdom from the air, while Sokka and company try to stop the ships.

Wham bam boom.

As the group make their way across the top of the airships, Suki is seperated and urges Sokka and Toph to keep going, she’s fine.

More fire and destruction;

Oddly, this is the last we see of them this episode.

PART 2:
Stop the Phoenix King (Or whatever he’s calling himself today)!

After standing for the past twelve minutes, Ozai finally starts actually setting shit on fire….

A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES:

Aang gives him one more chance to stand down, but I mean, of course not, what an non-climactic finale that would be.

It’s time to duel.

He's fine.

Weary after a long and intense battle, Aang retreats into a stone ball while Ozai blasts away at it....

PART 3:
Defeat the Fire Nation Princess amidst the Embers of Her Sanity!

“You and me, brother, the showdown that was always meant to be, an Agni Kai!”

The music is really just … sad.

Zuko steps in to avoid Katara being hit by lightning and doesn't redirect it properly, leaving him alive, but in no condition to fight.

That's cheating.

Then the battle turns to, Azula vs Katara, the only person in the show to ever come close to defeating her....

Don't be shy, but don't be a dick either.

8 A Quiet Place Day One

    It's carried by Lupita, because the narrative doesn't have the strongest punch to really get across its themes.
