Yep, Aang has been knocked out so long that there was time for him to grow hair - and someone made sure it didn't creep over his arrow. Nice to get a touchup when you're asleep.

Book 2: The Guru / The Crossroads of Destiny

The Crossroads of Destiny is just, the coolest name of anything ever. Second place is probably Sons of Destiny.

If you don't know what I'm talking about re: The latter, you will.

Anyway, Book 2 finale. Took us long enough, hasn't it.

The episode already starts out in a pretty uncanny way; Zuko has a positive attitude.

Welcome to a good pair of episodes; The second of which is probably my second favorite in the series because it hosts my favorite action piece.

Book 2: Tales of Ba Sing Se / Appa's Lost Days

These are going to be very short, only hitting pertinent information here.

The only really important part of Tales of Ba Sing Se is Iroh's story, as he goes throughout the lower rings of the city helping people, giving out advice, to finally conclude by having a picnic at the makeshift memorial of his son, who died in Iroh's attempt to take the city long ago.

Book 2: The Drill / City of Walls and Secrets

Book 2: The Desert / The Serpent's Pass

Book 2: Bitter Work / The Library

It takes time to learn new skills, but not as long to apply them.

Aang is struggling with Earthbending - it's the natural opposite of Airbending, and Toph is his natural opposite in nearly every way.

Grumpy, can't see, has hair.

Totes opposite.

Book 2: Zuko Alone / The Chase

He is indeed.

This story is basically "How does Zuko act when Iroh is not around to be his guiding light of wisdom?"

It's as alone and self-isolated (Refusing to stay for dinner, even though he's starving, until the family offers work) as you think, with a touch of smart-assery ("Maybe a chicken flew overhead." in response to soldiers trying to pick a fight).

He's done giving a single, solitary fuck, and I love it.

It's also peppered with flashbacks of a younger Zuko, Azula, and...who is that lady...

Book 2: The Blind Bandit

Aang finds an Earthbending teacher - a shit-talking blind girl.

This is a single post for a single episode because it introduces my favorite character;

This girl, for the next seventy-some odd years, held the title of the greatest Earthbender in the world - starting from twelve years old.

Also this was supposed to go out way earlier, sorry to anyone who was hotly anticipating it or something.

Book 2: Return to Omashu / The Swamp / Avatar Day

Just kidding; Omashu has been occupied by the Fire Nation.

Aang, Katara and Sokka head to Omashu to ask King Bumi to teach Aang earthbending, only to discover upon their arrival that the city has fallen to the Fire Nation. 

Meanwhile, Azula decides to get rid of the royal procession and assemble a small, elite team of fighters to capture Zuko and Iroh.
