Star vs. The Forces of Evil S4 E5-8

In a weird twist, DirectTV didn't air "Ransomgram" and "Lake House Fever". Or one of my family members stopped the recording.

I think it was the former because they don't seem to be airing again in the future, but "Moon Remembers" and "Beach Day" are.

["Lets dismantle the patriarchy!"]

Ransomgram is returning to older Marco (or, Abs!Marco) in the Neverzone, as his Dragoncycle Nachos has been .... Dragoncyclenapped.

This is Brunzetta!

They fight some flame monster that El Choppo (The sword) released when Marco stole it and it looks pretty cool.

And that's about the gist of that!

If you don't like shipping, oh you're gonna have a bad time here. This episode is essentially Tom and Star finally dealing with the aftermath of her kissing Marco in the Photo Booth and how Wrathmelior (Tom's mother) isn't too keen on Star giving her son a hard time...still.

Insert Moons of Iago joke.

They're okay episodes. The preceding 2 are way cooler. Maybe that's why DirectTV didn't bother to air these?

"Moon Remembers" is the Butter-pie family reunited, and reintroducing Moon to Eclipsa (Who is remorseful) and Meteora (Who is teething).

But how will Star explain that Globgor is still around, and that they're trying to free him?

She doesn't. Moon just comes across him, and the beings pick-axing at him fruitlessly.

Moon seems quite okay with everything on the outside...

before saying no, she thinks Star messed up royally, but there's nothing they can do to reverse it, so she's just going to leave with River and chill out somewhere else.

Next episode has Rhombulus trapped in all manner of nasty spells; Eclipsa wants him to free Globgor - But why should he? After she kidnapped him, enslaved him, and took over his body, all in about 10 minutes?

Fun fact; Apparently, she has problems reversing lesser spells, but body switching was just done in a snap.

😳
Star tells her, that's not how you gain anyone's trust by using dark magic on them, and the queen agrees.

In the end, Globgor is still not freed, and now the Magic High Commission is probably super-not-reassured that Star did the right thing.

Don't be shy, but don't be a dick either.

8 A Quiet Place Day One

It's carried by Lupita, because the narrative doesn't have the strongest punch to really get across its themes.
