Trailer Tuesday - From A to T and Sometimes D

Yes it's not Tuesday and yes some of these trailers are old. But some aren't!

A is for Aquaman, which comes out in December.

Dude kicks ass and talks to fish and tells his half-brother to chill the hell out.

This five minute trailer first debuted at Comic Con 2018, and wow what a treat they had. DCEU needs all the help it can get, no wonder this was released to the public. Glad we got to see it, because this definitely gets me hyped.

Starring a bunch of people to the point where I'm not sure who is good and who is bad. Is Black Manta good? I know Orm is bad. What about whoever Willem Dafoe is?

D is for Destroyer, which is one of three movies Annapurna is releasing on December 25th. It's also the second Nicole Kidman film on this list. Go figure.

Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.
This trailer had me shook. Like good fucking lord how goddamn violent. I love it. I can't wait for this.

Starring Nicole Kidman, Sebastian Stan, the only white British man I love Toby Kebbell, Tatiana Maslany, Bradley Whitford, Jade Pettyjohn, Scoot McNairy (From Halt and Catch Fire!)

D is also for Detective Pikachu;

He is fuzzy!!!
In a world where people collect pocket-size monsters [That's a bit of a misnomer, like Whailord isn't Pocket sized] (Pokemon) to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent monster who seeks to be a detective.
The full title is POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU because it's been 21 years and people still don't know that Pikachu is a Pokemon. Really, really love how they include Pokemon from the newer gens here.

I think it looks plum ADORABLE and I can't wait. Docking points for lack of Zangoose though.

 Starring Deadpool and the young man from Jurassic World 2.

T is for Toy Story 4, in Disney's continuous string of sequels;

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.

The Bo Peep subplot that's been rumored for years seems to be completely scrapped, which is fine. It didn't sound that great to me...but neither does this. Ah well, I thought I would hate Coco but that was my favorite movie of 2017.

But that was an original film....but I did really like Finding Dory. Argh! Who knows?

Don't be shy, but don't be a dick either.

8 A Quiet Place Day One

    It's carried by Lupita, because the narrative doesn't have the strongest punch to really get across its themes.
