Trailer Tuesday: A, B, & Taking No L's

Happy Trailer Tuesday once again.

First up is possibly my most anticipated Disney release of 2019...and I may be the only one who is excited - Artemis Fowl is on the big screen.

I mean - In theory.

The feelings are there - Confusion, because while it has the name Artemis Fowl, very few things are evocative of the book - Mainly how dark Haven is, the souk in Ho Chi Minh City, and the tech. The rest is nearly alien to me, which may actually be an improvement.

After pushing it back to Christmas Day with two of their other films, Annapurna has given us the third and final trailer for Barry Jenkins' Moonlight follow-up, If Beale Street Could Talk.

No words, just tears.

Not to be outdone by a talking rat, Disney came back with...a talking cat.

Well, Simba doesn't talk here. But isn't he adorable!

Do I even need to post the synopsis? It's The goddamn Lion King. Now cast with black people in all of the lion roles, as the original only had Mufasa and Sarabi.

And, because Disney knew that even they couldn't do better, James Earl Jones reprises his role as Mufasa.

Don't be shy, but don't be a dick either.

8 A Quiet Place Day One

It's carried by Lupita, because the narrative doesn't have the strongest punch to really get across its themes.
