Star Wars Celebration: Episode 9

The bi-annual official Star Wars convention - Celebration - Is here! I've enjoyed each of the 2 years I watched it, and even the smaller panels are a lot of fun.

For now, the focus is on one piece of Star Wars media, and we all know what it is. Or, we don't exactly.

See, the title for EPISODE 9 has been kept under wraps for awhile now. Considering THE LAST JEDI was revealed at the end of January 2017, we're quite overdue.

So, we expected JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy to unveil the big show, and unveil it they did;

But first, the panel.

Really nice, love the crowd participation. Especially loved the enthusiasm for Kelly.

They teased us with pictures before revealing the trailer and title;

Rose is back!

But after a long, long wait, JJ Abrams presented to us the trailer for Episode 9; The Rise of Skywalker.

....That is seriously the title. I'm glad the Skywalker saga is finally coming to an end in these things. I like them but ... it's been 9 movies. I think we're done.

There's no synopsis besides "Look, it's the third one in the trilogy, you know how this ends by now. Evil redeemed in the OT, evil begins in the ST, and evil is probably redeemed again.", which would be samey...but I'd prefer it over Rey Skywalker.  The Force isn't limited to one lineage. But since it's the last in their saga, I can deal with it.

The trailer itself looks amazing with the continuation of dynamic and striking shots that this trilogy has done very well. The main trio are finally a main trio, working together! It only took 3 movies!

You hyped?

Don't be shy, but don't be a dick either.

8 A Quiet Place Day One

    It's carried by Lupita, because the narrative doesn't have the strongest punch to really get across its themes.
