Book Look: Star Wars: Dark Disciple by Christie Golden
Oh look, another Star Wars novel, the first one I've read that's not by E.K Johnston or Claudia Grey.
Very surprised to see a bit of Anakin in here. Are there any canon novels that actually focus on him? I've read more books about Obi-Wan and Padme than him (A surprise, but a welcome one).
This book takes place after Ahsoka leaves the Jedi Order (and presumably before Season 7 of "The Clone Wars").
A huge point in this book's favor is, even though I knew where it would go, when it reached that point...we still had about 300 pages left to go. "Oh boy, what's gonna happen now?" I thought "This is wrapping up far quicker than I thought! And there's MORE!"
There are tiny moments where you see where Ventress and Vos really care for each other, but it's glossed over massively. I wish we could see more of it. Makes the ending lose some impact. In fact, said ending was so surprising, I had to check that it was canon - and it is.
I have no idea how this would impact the character in Season 7 of "The Clone Wars".
