Fun fact:
Animal Crossing villagers have birthdays. Most people don't know that.
So what happens when the player character shares a birthday with a villager?
I share a birthday with Marcel (Dec. 31) so I got to live this out firsthand recently:
There will be 2 seperate parties: One for each of you. There will be 1 villager at the villager party as normal, and 2 or 3 at the Player Character's party.
The villager party will not acknowledge your birthday until the day after. They will not send a present to you except to thank you for their present.
The villagers who are at neither party will operate as normal outside of wishing you a happy birthday.
You know that Dec. 31 is also when the game throws it's New Years Eve (NYE) Celebration - Nookipedia says Marcel is the only villager who won't go to the celebrations because it's his birthday. I can't confirm as I was too tired and didn't even stay up to see it happen.
