Book 2: Tales of Ba Sing Se / Appa's Lost Days
These are going to be very short, only hitting pertinent information here.
The only really important part of Tales of Ba Sing Se is Iroh's story, as he goes throughout the lower rings of the city helping people, giving out advice, to finally conclude by having a picnic at the makeshift memorial of his son, who died in Iroh's attempt to take the city long ago.
Works as a double-memorial, as this was the first episode to air after Mako, Iroh's voice actor, died.
In Appa's Lost Days, Appa's sold to a circus, escapes, is attacked, goes to die in a cave...
The Kyoshi Warriors (including Suki) find him and nurse him back to health. This is clearly after the events of "The Serpent's Pass".
They would have taken him to Ba Sing Se...if the Fire Nation hadn't attacked.
Not pictured: The Drill. Because it's not in the scene.
The fates of the Kyoshi Warriors are left ambiguous, but don't worry. We see them again. In less than pleasant circumstances. There must be fanfiction out there about the tale of Azula tormenting Suki. Right? I love Suki, so I imagine her sniping right back at her.
Appa escapes again and goes to an Air Temple, which is only mostly abandoned. It's a beautiful location.
Guru Pathik is there, he gives Appa some spiritual advice, and once again, the bison is on his way to Ba Sing Se, following the sound of the whistle...
That's rough, buddy.
